YOUTH LEADERSHIP Your Voice is Strong...Make it Heard! Youth in Government - Grades 8-12 Let your voice be heard! Join youth leaders from around the state to debate the issues that are important to you. Listen to delegates with different experiences. Research public issues and become aware of local, state, national and international concerns. Accept your civic responsibilities and your leadership role. Model United Nations - Grades 8-12 Model United Nations encourages youth, grades 8-12, to view issues through a total global perspective. Delegations of students select a country of their choice, prepare issue papers, working papers, and topic research to be presented at the Model Assembly. The program focuses its attention ont eh United Nations' committee process. Registration begins December 2009. The U.N. trip is held March 2010. For more information contact Josh at 345-9817.
Youth Voice in Local Government - Grades 9-12 Youth are now given the opportunity to have a voice in local government by becoming voting members on local boards and committees of the City of Mankato, City of North Mankato, Blue Earth County, Nicollet County and Mankato Public Schools.
